When reading articles on what is best for managing anxiety panic it all sounds so easy, As the saying goes it’s easier said than done. But the important thing to remember when dealing with anxiety it doesn’t happen overnight, it does take time and persistence on anxiety management. But you can gain control and put into place managing anxiety panic and get your life back together and relieve anxiety fast.
I was battling with anxiety and panic for around 20 years with the consequence of ending up with depression to keep it company. I can tell you life was not a bundle of fun for me back then. Managing anxiety and depression eventually got to much and I ended up in a psychiatric ward for quite a long time.
I was put on a prescription of Chlorpromazine and 2mg Diazepam, which helped to a certain degree. But I hated the feeling of being drowsy all the time. But it did help to calm my anxiety. I feel for the initial stages of gaining control over you’re anxiety taking light medication is of benefit. And does help in managing anxiety panic.
The natural ways of managing anxiety are for long term and permanent so you are well equipped in controlling anxiety panic. This is where you have to focus and be persistent to re-train your mind over the situation that is causing your anxiety and panic, Here are just a few tips for you on managing anxiety panic. When you feel an anxiety attack coming on for example just remember these attacks can’t kill you it feels horrible and like you are dying but health wise your completely safe. Focus on your breathing take nice big deep breathes they call it the 10 second breath. Breathe in5 seconds and out 5 seconds and do this between 5-10 times and you will feel your anxiety subsiding I can assure you of that. Sometimes you may feel dizzy on the 2nd 3rd breath. But stay calm and power through those breathes because by the 6th or 7th the oxygen has been pumped so fast around your body you then feel the anxiety relief and the attack slows right down.
Another great way for managing anxiety attacks, is to challenge the thought that has created your anxiety. By challenging your anxiety you stop it in it’s track. Because anxiety is a fear and a fear named is a fear shamed. Our thoughts are used to controlling anxiety panic, so by saying “stop”, we challenge that control.
Dealing with anxiety instead of running from it is another good way in managing anxiety panic . The more we avoid anxious situation the stronger the anxiety becomes. So handling anxiety is far better for you.
