As you may already know, it is nearly impossible to stop an anxiety attack once it has started but it is perfectly possible to learn techniques in coping with anxiety and panic attacks and stopping yourself from losing control.
There are many different options open to those who suffer from this condition and the best is to try out some good tips.
Here are 3 tips for coping with anxiety that are very effective and can help you get your life back on track in no time at all.
1- Surrender yourself to your anxiety.
Yes I know, it sounds strange but it does work. By embracing your anxiety attack once it has started, you acknowledge that it is present and then you can set a time limit for it to stay and go. Let’s say 5 minutes. Once you have counted down the minutes you should try and visualize the attack disappear. This is certainly not an easy exercise but it works well with practice. Trying to fight your anxiety will make it a lot more difficult with handling anxiety, whilst surrendering to it will make it easier for you to begin the process of getting rid of the problem for good.
2- Change you diet and get some supplements
Do you realize how much we pollute our body daily with the junk food, soft drinks, caffeine etc that we put in it? Think of your body as something precious because it is. Make a habit of eating healthily and at regular hours. Don’t do crash diets as they have some nasty effect over your general mood and this can worsen the symptoms of anxiety and make it even harder for you with coping with anxiety and stress. Take some vitamins, especially B6 and magnesium, which are really good for your nervous system.
3- Get some exercise
It is very effective and helps to reduce high levels of anxiety. Physical Exercises whatever they are will increase the blood flow to your brain and release good hormones, which will stimulate the nervous system. The regular practice of physical exercises is also known as being one of the best natural antidepressant and therefore its positive effect for coping with anxiety depression.
Of course, there are many more tips and advice to help you conquer your anxiety for good. It also depends on the severity of your panic attacks and therefore it is for you to judge whatever suits your pathology.
Medication is often prescribed but I would stay away from anti-anxiety pills such as Xanax if I were you. They only cover up the symptoms and don’t get to the root cause of the problem, which is what you need to focus on in order to get rid of your condition for good.
